PRCC Mission & Vision

As a recovery community organization, PRCC’s mission is to provide support, education, resources, and advocacy for people recovering from and affected by addiction, and to spread the message of hope throughout the state of Maine and beyond.

PRCC’s vision is that every person affected by addiction in Maine will have direct access to a local recovery community center that provides support, education, and individual resources to enhance their ability to heal, strengthen and grow in their recovery pathway, throughout all stages of their journey.

Rally 4 Recovery

It is almost time for the Annual Maine RALLY 4 RECOVERY, and we need you! September is Recovery Month, a national observance held every September to educate Americans about substance use disorder and show that it is possible to recover and live healthy and rewarding lives. Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those in recovery and spreads the message of hope to others. The annual message remains: Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community.

This year’s RALLY 4 RECOVERY is on September 21st at beautiful Payson Park right in Back Cove in Portland. When we celebrate recovery, we offer hope. Together we will enjoy music, speakers, children’s activities, the annual recovery countdown, and lots of food from multiple food trucks. In addition, tables are available for community partners in recovery to share resources. This is a great family friendly event organized by people in recovery, allies, friends, and families.

Funds raised from the Rally support Portland Recovery Community Center (PRCC) groups, wellness, recreation activities, education, and advocacy efforts.
